Well, the start of Britney Spears‘ Australian concert tour turned pretty sour, pretty fast according to the music critics who posted bad reviews and the reported fans that walked out of her show.
Government officials have been quite critical of the Pop star for lip-syncing during live performances, which is one of the main reasons hundreds of fans departed her show. In turn, this has utterly upset Spears.
Paul Dainty, Brit’s tour promoter spoke with The Australian on Monday:
“Britney is aware of all this and she’s extremely upset by it,”
“She’s a human being. I’m embarrassed, with such a big international entourage here with Britney, to be part of the Australian media when I see that kind of totally inaccurate reporting.”
During her first show in Perth on Friday, hundreds of fans stormed out calling her performance “boring” and “stiff.”
A 22-year-old fan, Amanda Hawley said:
“I want my money back or I want her to sing properly. The ticket cost me $200 and she lip-synced the whole thing.”
Prior to Brit’s trip down-under…officials there were formulating ways to ensure that the fans attending her shows are fully informed that certain parts of the performances will be lip-synced.
I guess the fans are to be partially blamed in this case for paying for an overly-priced, fluffy, teeny-Pop act with Britney Spears who is desperately trying to climb back on top of the game.
