Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor, who is known as the best actress of all times, died of congestive heart failure on 23 March, 2011. The 79-year old American star was being treated for her heart problems at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She was surrounded by her four children Michael Wilding, Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd and Maria Burton, when she breathed her last at the hospital.

Liz Taylor was suffering from several health hazards. She was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in 2004. She underwent cardiac surgery to replace a leaky valve in 2009. In February 2011, the two-time Oscar winner star was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment after doctors found out new symptoms of heart-related decease. The doctors could not save Liz Taylor even after month long treatment at the hospital.

The beautiful violet eyes star started her acting career as a child artiste and made her screen debut at nine with There's One Born Every Minute in 1942, but she got good recognition from National Velvet in 1944. She debuted as heroine through the movie A Place in the Sun co-starring Montgomery Clift in 1951. She won her first Oscar for her role in Butterfield 8 in 1961 and Cleopatra made her Hollywood's best paid actress, signing a $1 million contract for the lead role.
