As my debut appearance on IMDb, I must apologise to Jason Schmidt for wholeheartedly disagreeing with his entire review... Abomination you say?!
I just finished watching Peep World via iTunes, and loved it. There were so many hilarious moments throughout, all leading up to this final scene which you just knew was going to be a show-stopper, and it really was.
The most interesting thing for me was the combination of comedy and depth within the characters - something I think you rarely experience. Sarah Silverman as Cheri was wonderful to watch - she's very much a natural comedian and while she had many funny moments throughout the film, there was always an underlying sense of this broken person. I hope to see more of Sarah on the big screen soon... Rainn Wilson was another standout as hopeless Joel, and of course Ben Schwartz as Nathan - the book reading scene was both funny and awkward - classic!
Dysfunctional families are always interesting to see and this film is no exception. There's a complete breakdown of relationships here which at times was genuinely quite sad to witness. All I can say is, WATCH IT!
... Now, how can I get my hands on that book...
